Kahoot! is a free resource that allows users to create and deliver online quizzes, surveys and discussions in a competitive game-based environment. Participants answer questions, they earn points – either as individuals or as members of learning teams – and receive instant feedback about their own mastery of individual concepts.

Let's get started

1. Create an Account or Sign In. We recommend using your firstname.lastname for your username. This will simplify sharing Kahoots.
2. Create New Kahoot!
3. Input questions. Be sure to mark the correct answer choice and set the response time.
4. Arrange questions in any order
5. Set the privacy settings.
6. When complete your Kahoot will appear in My Kahoots. You can preview, edit or play the Kahoot from this screen.
7. When the Kahoot is engaged, a game-pin will appear for students to join your Kahoot!
8. For students to join your Kahoot, go to https://kahoot.com/ and click PLAY OR go to kahoot.it. Kahoot! is available as a website that is accessible via computers or an iPad.
9. To view student results click your name in the top right corner and go to My Results. You can download results or save them to Google Drive.
10. Public Kahoots are available to view, duplicate, and edit for use in your classroom. Once the public Kahoot has been duplicated, it will appear in My Kahoots for editing.
11. To share a Kahoot, go to My Kahoots. Select Share for the desired quiz. Start typing the username, and it will appear in the list.
12. To view a Kahoot that has been shared with you, go to My Kahoots. Select the Shared with me tab.
